Events
Full refunds for event bookings will be offered for cancellations made in writing up to 48 hours after payment has been received, provided there are at least check how many days 30 working days before the event. After 48 hours refunds will only be offered for fees over £10 and a 15% administration charge will be incurred. No refunds will be offered for cancellations made within four working days of an event.
Places at events are guaranteed on written confirmation. Acceptance of delegates is at the discretion of the meeting organiser. If payment has not been made by the date of the event the organiser reserves the right to refuse admission.
If invoices are requested for delegate fees and payment has not been received by the day of the event, credit card details will be requested on the day. The card will be charged if payment has not been received within five working days.
Delegate substitutions may be made free of charge up to xx days prior to the event.

If an event is cancelled, BAPIO’s liability will be limited to registration fees already paid to the Society for the meeting.
BAPIO accepts no legal responsibility for facts stated or opinions expressed during its events. It is the responsibility of individuals to satisfy themselves as to which facts and opinions should be relied on in any way whatsoever.
Membership
After a membership application has been acknowledged by the BAPIO, the new member will be provided with a membership number and access to membership benefits. Subscription payments accepted are by Direct Debit, Bank Transfers and cheque payments.
Applications which do not meet the relevant membership category criteria will be reviewed by the Membership team and the member will be notified of its decision.
Data collection
Data is collected for three purposes:
1. To assess eligibility for membership
2. To assess the correct category of membership
3. To allow BAPIO to provide the information and services to members
BAPIO does not sell or lease its membership list and any information received as a result of completing a membership application form will come from the BAPIO or its agents.
When a meeting is jointly organised with an external partner, delegate data may be passed to the third party unless the delegate opts out by ticking the relevant box on the booking form.

Force majeure
In the event of any act of God, acts of government, fire, storm, flood, earthquake, explosion, accident, act of war, invasion, enemy acts, rebellion, insurrection, sabotage, hostilities (whether declared or not), riot, civil war, civil commotion, public demonstration, terrorist act, epidemic and quarantine restriction, tempest or any other circumstances (whether or not of a similar nature to any of the foregoing) beyond the reasonable control of either party (a “Force Majeure Event”), which causes cessation of or substantial interference with the Society’s day-to- day activities, the Society shall be deemed not to be in breach of any contractual arrangement or otherwise liable to any other party in any manner whatsoever for any failure or delay in performing its obligations thereunder.
These terms and conditions are correct at the time of publication and were updated September 2014 and supersede any previous terms and conditions. BAPIO reserves the right to amend them.
