Mr. Samuel Jude
Community Team Manager (CRHT), NSFT
Executive Regional Lead – East of England
Samuel Jude (Sam) is a UK-based senior nurse leader with over 13 years of experience across acute physical health and crisis mental health services within the NHS. He currently works as a Community Team Manager in a Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHT), where he leads multidisciplinary teams delivering safe, responsive, and person-centred care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. He has a strong track record in strengthening governance standards, embedding physical health excellence within mental health pathways, and aligning frontline practice with the NHS Single Assessment Framework (SAF) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
Sam previously served as a Band 7 Ward Manager in an acute district general hospital, where he has led multiple quality improvement initiatives focused on patient flow, reconditioning, documentation standards, safety culture, and regulatory readiness. His leadership approach centres on building high-performing teams, embedding continuous learning, and maintaining psychologically safe environments where staff feel empowered to speak up, grow, and lead.
He is deeply passionate about workforce development and mentorship. As Executive Regional Lead (East of England) for the British Indian Nurses Association and a member of its founding team, Sam has played a role in supporting the early development and regional expansion of the organisation. He provides pastoral support and structured career guidance to internationally educated nurses across Bands 5 through to 8A. He actively supports nurses with interview preparation, leadership progression, professional development, and navigating complex workplace matters including formal processes and disciplinaries. His lived experience within the NHS has shaped his commitment to equity, inclusion, and the creation of safe professional spaces where diverse talent can thrive.
Sam has undertaken senior leadership development programmes and continues to invest in his professional growth. He has a strong interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital health transformation, particularly in how emerging technologies can strengthen workforce sustainability, governance excellence, and patient outcomes within modern healthcare systems.
He is the recipient of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Award at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and was shortlisted in the Nurse of the Year category at the National BAME Health and Care Awards. He was also a finalist at both the RCN Awards 2023 and the Nursing Times Awards 2023. In 2023, he was recognised as one of the GEMS: Hidden in Plain Sight (75@75) — a national list launched by the Seacole Group and Colourful Healthcare to mark the 75th anniversary of the NHS, celebrating 75 Black, Asian and minority ethnic health and social care professionals across the UK. In 2024, he received the Outstanding Contribution Award at the inaugural BINA Global Awards in recognition of his leadership and impact within the profession.
